About the Role
The post holder is required to support the service with management of general diabetes and endocrine cases as well as General Internal Medicine (GIM) inpatients. The appointee will take part on a pro-rata basis to cover GIM inpatient ward. Flexibility is essential as the appointee will contribute to various clinical activities of the department. The appointee is expected to contribute to weekend on calls (either acute medicine or specialty service, currently under review, approx. 1-1.5 PA, 8 weekends annually). The Trust supports the requirements for Continuing Medical Education as suggested by the Royal Colleges and is committed to providing time and financial support for these activities, encouraging the Continuing Professional Development of its entire staff.
Experience
Experience in managing diabetes and endocrine cases is essential. Flexibility to cover GIM inpatient ward is required.

Qualifications
Relevant medical qualifications and experience in diabetes and endocrinology are required.
