About the Role
The post-holder will be accountable to the Medical Director of Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust. The role involves providing high-quality care to patients, ensuring prompt attendance at agreed direct clinical care Programmed Activities, and involving patients in decisions about their care. The post-holder must be medically qualified, maintain GMC specialist registration, and hold a licence to practice. Collaboration with academic and clinical colleagues is encouraged to enhance the Trust's translational research portfolio, while also meeting the full requirements of Research Governance. The role includes providing high-quality teaching to medical undergraduates and other healthcare professionals, acting as an educational supervisor and appraiser as delegated by the Clinical Director. Performance management will involve working with medical, nursing, and managerial colleagues to ensure high performance in clinical efficiency, quality of outcomes, financial management, and operational efficiency.

Experience
The post-holder must be medically qualified and maintain GMC specialist registration.
