About the Role
Controllers ensure that the firm meets all the financial control and reporting obligations of a global, regulated, and public financial institution. They measure the profitability of, and risks associated with, every aspect of the firm's business and ensure compliance with regulations governing financial market transactions. The Product Control team reports key financial data including profit and loss, balance sheet, and price verification, working closely with business leaders of the FICC and Equities businesses.
As a Product Controller Associate in London, you will become an expert in your business area, assessing valuation, profit and loss attribution, and disclosure implications of the business' positions and trades. You will perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly profit and loss analyses, conduct price verification procedures, assess new trades for valuation and accounting treatment, and analyze balance sheet and funding sources. Additionally, you will produce financial statements and disclosures, and collaborate with the financial reporting team on key external reports such as earnings releases and regulatory filings.
Experience
Basic industry knowledge with strong accounting expertise. Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS is a plus.

Qualifications
Qualified CA, CFA, or CMA. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products and business tools are required.
