About the Role
Controllers is a global team responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the firm’s financial and regulatory information by complying with financial market rules and regulations worldwide. Controllers partner with the firm's businesses to provide advice on accounting, valuation, capital, liquidity, reputational risk, and other regulatory considerations. Working in Controllers provides unique insights into the firm’s businesses and the opportunity to impact key firmwide strategic and financial objectives.
The Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP) Core Team is seeking an Associate to assist in the production and assurance of the firm’s global RRP deliverables. This team sets the strategy, plans, and coordinates global and local RRP deliverables, runs the assurance program across RRP capabilities, and serves as the first point of contact for regulatory enquiries related to RRP globally. Previous RRP experience is not required.
Key responsibilities include authoring, coordinating, and reviewing recovery and resolution plans and other regulatory deliverables; participating in assurance exercises such as capability testing and tabletop simulations; and assessing and implementing new regulatory requirements.
Experience
Knowledge of accounting, capital and/or liquidity concepts and regulatory requirements is preferred. Ability to interpret and implement RRP regulatory requirements is essential. Experience working with cross-divisional teams and managing complex deliverables is advantageous but not mandatory.
About you
You thrive in a dynamic environment requiring multitasking, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills. You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal clients, external stakeholders, and team members. Integrity, a strong work ethic, and a desire for excellence are highly valued.
You demonstrate a control mindset with the ability to maintain and develop robust control, governance, and assurance frameworks. Strong analytical skills to review and challenge financial projections and the ability to produce and critically review regulatory documentation are required.
Qualifications
Relevant technical competence in accounting, capital, liquidity, or regulatory frameworks is expected. Formal qualifications are not explicitly stated but a strong foundation in these areas is important to succeed in the role.
