About the Role
Corporate and Workplace Solutions (CWS) consists of Corporate Services and Real Estate (CSRE) and the Office of Global Security (OGS). These teams drive productivity and enable the firm’s business flow while ensuring safety and security. CSRE manages the firm’s global real estate portfolio and delivers innovative market development, document management, and hospitality services. OGS protects the firm's people, assets, and reputation through people protection, physical security, fire safety, and crisis management.
Joining the Event Management team, you will partner with key business stakeholders to develop and execute an event marketing strategy focused on best practices, commercial excellence, consistency, and effective risk management. Goldman Sachs events are critical to maintaining the firm’s image and developing key client relationships.
Reporting to a Senior Vice President in the Event Management Group in London, this role supports event strategy by providing project management support and overseeing event and conference execution. Responsibilities include supporting the planning and delivery of a portfolio of firm events, assisting with budgeting, venue and supplier management, project coordination, logistics planning, onsite execution, and post-event reporting and evaluation.
You will build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior colleagues, to ensure successful event delivery throughout the event lifecycle. Additional duties include managing event budgets, tracking expenses, processing invoices, supporting post-event reconciliation, developing event messaging and materials aligned with the firm's brand, and providing project coordination support to host teams.
This role requires ownership of assigned workstreams, proactive planning, organisation, attention to detail, and compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements to maintain operational excellence and protect the firm's reputation. You will also develop expertise in event management best practices, project management, stakeholder engagement, budgeting, and event execution.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred; however, candidates with strong organisational and communication skills, demonstrated interest in event management, and relevant experience from internships, part-time work, studies, or extracurricular activities are welcome. Experience supporting events through internships, university projects, part-time roles, or extracurricular activities is desirable but not required. Exposure to financial services is advantageous but not essential.
Basic knowledge of conferences and event management, including budgeting, audiovisual requirements, stage production, registration, speaker management, and virtual event platforms, or a strong willingness to learn is expected.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory. Strong organisational, communication, and project management skills are essential. Relevant experience gained through internships, part-time work, studies, or extracurricular activities is valued.
