About the Role
Corporate and Workplace Solutions (CWS), consisting of Corporate Services and Real Estate (CSRE) and the Office of Global Security (OGS), drives productivity and enables the firm’s flow of business while ensuring safety and security. CSRE manages the firm’s global real estate portfolio and delivers innovative market development, document management, and hospitality services. OGS protects the firm's people, assets, and reputation through physical security, fire safety, and crisis management.
Joining the Event Management team, you will partner with key business stakeholders and team members to develop and execute an event marketing strategy. This includes managing events and conferences with a focus on best practices, commercial excellence, consistency in delivery, and effective risk management. Goldman Sachs events are critical to maintaining the firm's image and developing key client relationships.
Reporting to a Senior Vice President within the Event Management Group in London, this role supports event strategy, provides project management support, and oversees the execution of events and conferences. Responsibilities include managing the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of firm events, including project planning, budgeting, venue and supplier management, logistics coordination, onsite delivery, and post-event evaluation. You will build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior executives, provide strategic guidance, and ensure event objectives are achieved.
Additional responsibilities include developing and managing event budgets, partnering with stakeholders to align event strategies with business objectives and the firm's brand standards, providing project management expertise, establishing clear timelines and deliverables, proactively identifying risks, and ensuring adherence to firm policies, controls, and regulatory requirements. You will continuously evaluate industry trends, technology solutions, and best practices to drive innovation and enhance future events.
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years as an event specialist in a fast-paced environment, preferably within financial services
- Knowledge of all aspects of conference and event management including budgeting, audio visual, stage production, registration, speaker management, and virtual event platforms
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Results-oriented with exceptional time management skills, able to balance multiple time-sensitive projects while maintaining strategic focus
