Description
About the Role 1
Although small, the Reward & Insight team produces significant amounts of data for both Councils and a range of Traded customers who buy our Payroll and HR services. The information provided by the team is integral to helping our organisations make key strategic decisions, aligned to corporate priorities.
As a Workforce Insight Analyst you will provide workforce data which is easy to access and can be used to support workforce planning. You will also complete Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, and statutory returns on behalf of Kingston and Sutton Councils, as well as develop a range of ad hoc reports as requested by senior leaders across the HR & OD service, to support large scale change initiatives.
We are looking for someone with experience of analysing data and producing reports to inform decision making. You will have experience of providing business insight by developing and maintaining dashboards, complemented by a good knowledge of data analysis techniques and research methods. You will also need experience of using relational databases and a range of reporting tools including Business Objects, and be a confident communicator who can present dashboards, reports and insights at stakeholder meetings, in an engaging and easy-to-understand manner.
If you enjoy working with data, using your initiative, have strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail and like using your inquisitive mind to solve problems, then we would love to hear from you.
About Us
The London Borough of Sutton and The Royal Borough of Kingston operate a Shared Service that jointly delivers HR, Finance, Customer Service, ICT, and Transport & Highways services across both councils. Sharing services helps us to improve efficiency by reducing repetition, enabling consistent processes across both councils, which ultimately reduces operating costs.
Our Shared Service model brings staff, systems and processes together, and creates opportunities for our workforce to learn, develop and network through both councils, whilst delivering an efficient service to residents in both Boroughs.
The Royal Borough of Kingston and the London Borough of Sutton employ nearly 500 staff across its shared services in HR, Finance, Customer Service, Highways and ICT.
