Location
North London, based at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court. Flexibility required to work at other local HMCTS sites within the group as needed, with travel costs/time applied according to organisational policies.

Hours
Standard full time - 37 hours per week. HMCTS welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns where agreed prior to appointment. Roles may require working Saturdays and/or Bank Holidays with time off in lieu; no Sunday working required.

About the Role
As a Delivery Manager within the North Group of the London Magistrates cluster, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of court operations. You will lead your team and support senior management to meet operational needs, deliver performance objectives, and provide a consistent, customer-focused service. You will maintain positive working relationships with the judiciary, supporting agencies, voluntary and user groups, striving for continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Your role involves managing complaints constructively, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety and IT/workstation standards, and escalating court facilities issues appropriately. This is a customer-facing role, critical to delivering justice and supporting service users and colleagues within HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS). If you are enthusiastic about leading teams and delivering excellent service in a process-driven environment, this role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to make a real difference.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in leading and motivating teams to deliver excellent customer service. Familiarity with process and compliance-driven environments and managing operational performance. Experience in building and maintaining effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders including judiciary and external agencies.

A hands-on problem solver with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to engage with people at all levels and take a collaborative, diplomatic approach. Driven to provide excellent customer service through your team, with a focus on employee engagement, morale and motivation. Confident in setting priorities and objectives aligned with national and regional strategies. Skilled in managing resources, budgets, and developing team plans to meet targets and resolve local issues effectively.

Qualifications
