As the Deputy Director of Financial Strategy, you will be responsible for agreeing the overall NHS budget with DHSC and HM Treasury. This involves leading big set pieces such as Spending Reviews, and the annual process through which the DHSC sets the NHS budget. It also involves leading on-going discussions with DHSC and HM Treasury on how to manage the cost of new spending proposals and cost pressures. The post holder will lead on the development for the future financial strategy of the NHS, including allocation of resources within the NHS, and the maintenance of the revenue financial framework within which Integrated Care Systems (ICS), Integrated Commissioning Boards (ICBs), and providers operate Within Finance and Planning, we put the Equality Diversity and Inclusion commitment into practice with our staff led delivery group.
