About the Role
As a Dermatology Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will work autonomously, managing a caseload of patients within the specialty while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized and personalized direct patient care. You will be responsible for assessing and recognizing emergencies in the specialty, interpreting information, and taking appropriate action while leading others to do the same. Acting as an advocate for patients, you will ensure a patient-oriented approach to care delivery, adhering to NHS standards and relevant guidelines. Your role will involve ensuring high-quality clinical care and a positive patient experience, respecting their customs, religious beliefs, and doctrines. You will actively engage service users through the facilitation of user groups and open days, coordinate the provision of specialist services to patients in both hospital and community settings, and develop and run nurse-led clinics in conjunction with medical staff. Additionally, you will provide professional and clinical leadership, support clinical teams with specialist knowledge, and promote patient-centered care while establishing supportive relationships with patients and their families throughout assessment, treatment, and aftercare.
Experience
Experience in a clinical setting, particularly within dermatology, is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
