About the Role
What if you could do the kind of work the world needs? At WSP, you can access our global scale, contribute to landmark projects and connect with the brightest minds in your field to do the best work of your life. You can embrace your curiosity in a culture that celebrates new ideas and diverse perspectives. You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you.
Our Digital Advisory and Transformation team helps healthcare organisations turn digital ambition into practical change. You’ll contribute to projects ranging from digitally enabled new hospitals to national, trust-level and neighbourhood health programmes. As our team grows, you’ll have opportunities to develop your expertise, broaden your experience and help shape our capabilities.
This is an opportunity to join a growing team operating in Digital Healthcare. We are ambitious and passionate about supporting healthcare customers by maximising digital to enable new ways of working and new models of care. The patient and clinician are always our primary concern and focus.
Our growth comes at a time when it is fully appreciated at all levels that healthcare must innovate to survive and meet increasingly challenging demands. We specialise in digital transformation for all healthcare environments and the development of innovative digital plans for new hospital and healthcare facility build projects. These projects offer the chance to be part of positive change that maximises emerging technologies and ultimately benefits people’s lives.
Our work in the New Hospital space is expanding. We already support NHS hospital trusts in developing digital strategies to ensure new hospitals are digital-by-design and fit for future health and operational demands. We have a specific need to add technical competency to meet current and planned demand.
You’ll help NHS trusts create digital strategies that make future hospitals connected, adaptable and ready to meet changing clinical and operational needs. You will join an established team where your technical expertise will directly influence how new healthcare environments are planned and delivered.
How far we, and you, decide to leverage digital innovation for the benefit of our customers is limited only by our imaginations. We seek people who think differently, are curious, and are willing to push new limits beyond traditional approaches.
You will be part of a team undertaking project-based work for a range of healthcare clients where achieving significant change is expected. Our clients look to us to coach, mentor and educate stakeholders on what is possible and how to get there.
At its core, we follow a 3-step process – understand the current state, define a future state, and plan the digital interventions required to achieve that future state. Where possible, we both plan and deliver digital transformation activities.
As a Digital Consultant, you will have the opportunity to form lasting relationships with customers and embed yourself within client organisations as a trusted collaborator and advisor. The projects you work on will be complex and often multidisciplinary.
You will be able to identify business development opportunities through contract extensions and new business. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in thought leadership and support promotion of the team’s capabilities within the industry. Your ideas will be valued and you will be supported in finding ways to better serve customers and extend our capabilities.

Experience of new hospitals, healthcare facilities or refurbishment programmes is valuable but not essential.
About you
Curious, innovative thinker who is willing to challenge traditional approaches and push new limits. Passionate about supporting healthcare through digital transformation.
