The Disrepair Officer role involves a variety of responsibilities including checking and reviewing initial claim information, taking initial information over the telephone, sending files and reviewing expert reports, identifying and processing files to be rejected, and handling routine post, emails and telephone calls. You will liaise with surveyors and other experts, respond promptly to telephone enquiries from residents, leaseholders and others, and assist team members with file handling and other duties as required.

This role requires a minimum of three days per week office-based presence to support collaboration, oversight and engagement within the team.

Experience
Experience in handling case management and electronic filing systems is essential. Previous experience in a similar role involving communication with residents and managing expert reports is desirable.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and be adept at managing time effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. You must demonstrate excellent research skills, interpersonal skills, and maintain high levels of discretion when dealing with confidential matters. Attention to detail, the ability to prioritise work, and a strong commitment to maintaining good relations are important. You should be able to work well within a team environment.
