About the Role
We are seeking a Divisional Business Manager to join the Executive Function within the Digital and Technology Group (DTG) at the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). This permanent role offers the opportunity to work in a flexible, hybrid environment with a minimum of 8 days per month onsite, supporting collaboration and engagement with partners and stakeholders.
The MHRA plays a vital role in enhancing public health through the regulation of medicines and medical devices. The DTG is central to delivering a secure, optimised IT infrastructure and maximising data use to support world-class services. The Group leads digital transformation initiatives, combining technology change, data management, project delivery, and cultural change to drive innovation and sustainability.
As Divisional Business Manager, you will act as a trusted business partner to the Chief Digital and Technology Officer and Senior Leadership Team, providing assurance, insight, and challenge on operational performance, governance, resourcing, and delivery risk. You will lead a small team, ensure coherent governance, support strategic business operations including planning, resourcing, and finance, and own key governance frameworks and compliance.
This role requires strong judgement, autonomy, and the ability to influence senior leaders across DTG and the wider Agency. You will also champion best practices in business operations and lead business improvement projects from initiation to completion.
Experience
Proven experience in business operations, governance, and strategic planning within a complex organisation. Experience managing teams and delivering business improvement projects. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage competing priorities effectively.

Qualifications
A degree in a relevant field such as business or management is desirable but not essential. Equivalent experience will be considered. Project Management qualification or equivalent experience is also desirable.
