£46,775.42 per year plus £2,500 allowances and an additional 5% of basic salary for shift and weekend working

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Supervisor to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP High Down, a category C male adult prison. You will be part of a supportive and driven team working Monday to Sunday to maintain a safe and secure environment. HMP High Down operates like a self-contained city, and our team plays a vital role in ensuring smooth and safe operations that impact prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.
As Electrical Supervisor, you will work alongside experienced colleagues from various trades including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators. This role offers the opportunity to use your skills to contribute to rehabilitation and positive change within the prison environment.

Experience
- Minimum five years' experience as an electrician or equivalent
- Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical and building services
- Experience supervising staff

About you
- Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
- Good health and safety knowledge
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a demanding environment
- Full driving licence, preferably with D1 category

Qualifications
- C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
- Certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations (18th Edition)
