About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Stores Operative to join our team at HMP Pentonville, a category B/C adult male prison. Join a supportive and driven team that works together to create a safe and nurturing environment. HMP Pentonville operates like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of people to keep it functioning smoothly. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the prison, impacting prisoners, employees, visitors, and the wider community.
As a Stores Operative, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all committed to providing a safe and secure environment. This role offers the opportunity to use your skills to contribute to rehabilitation and positive change, making a real difference in the lives of others.

Experience
Previous experience working in stores or facilities management is advantageous but not essential. A commitment to safety and teamwork is required.

Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills. A good understanding of Health & Safety practices is essential. You should be motivated to work in a challenging environment and contribute positively to the team and wider community.

Qualifications
- Fork Lift Truck Certificate
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- Full driving licence, preferably with D1 category
- HGV Licence
- Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification
