About the Service and Team
We are seeking hard-working, motivated, and enthusiastic individuals to join our apprenticeship scheme. About the Role
This exciting apprenticeship opportunity is within our Emergency Planning & Resilience Team. You will be involved in developing, maintaining, and exercising robust emergency plans to ensure community safety and resilience. Your responsibilities will include contributing to emergency planning, business continuity, and event safety, applying a proactive approach and demonstrating strong administrative and communication skills.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, good IT skills, strong attention to detail, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn.
Apprenticeship Funding Eligibility
To qualify for apprenticeship funding, applicants must:
- Hold GCSE level C/equivalent in Maths and English and be able to present original certificates, or be committed to completing these via functional skills assessments as part of the apprenticeship.
- Only apply for an apprenticeship unrelated to any qualifications they already hold at the same or higher level.
- Not be enrolled on another funded apprenticeship or further/higher education programme at the start of this apprenticeship.
- Have the right to work and study in England and meet one of the following:
- Be a citizen of a country within the European Economic Area (EEA) or have the right to abode in the UK and have been resident in the EEA for at least the previous three years before the apprenticeship start date.
- Be a non-EEA citizen with UK government permission to live in the UK (not for educational purposes) and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least the previous three years before the apprenticeship start date.

Apprenticeships are offered on a minimum 12-month contract (some longer depending on level), with 24 days paid annual leave, access to an online staff benefits portal including discounts at local and national shops, restaurants, and attractions, and the opportunity to undertake three volunteering days per year in Sutton. The minimum starting salary is £22,432 per annum.
