About the Role
Do you have a passion for helping people live independently and sustain their tenancies? We're looking for an Enhanced Housing Management Officer to join our team, working with residents who have previously lived in supported housing and are continuing their recovery from mental ill health. This is a rewarding role where you'll build positive relationships with tenants, promote successful tenancy sustainment and help create safe, welcoming environments where people can flourish. Working closely with internal teams and external agencies, you'll be a key point of contact for residents, helping them navigate housing-related challenges while encouraging independence and community integration.
You'll provide an enhanced housing management service that supports residents to maintain their tenancies and enjoy stable, independent living. No two days are the same, but your role will include:
- Promoting independence through practical guidance, advice, and signposting to appropriate support services.
- Undertaking regular welfare visits, risk assessments, health and safety inspections, and property checks.
- Monitoring the safety, cleanliness, and overall environment of schemes, including contractor performance.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring safeguarding concerns are identified and reported appropriately.
Experience
- Experience of working within housing, supported housing, enhanced housing management, or a related support environment.
- Experience of working with partner agencies and building effective professional relationships.
- Knowledge of tenancy sustainment, welfare benefits, safeguarding, and housing management practices.
- Good IT skills and experience maintaining accurate electronic records.
- An understanding of health and safety responsibilities within a residential setting.
About you
You are a confident communicator who can build trust and positive relationships with residents and stakeholders. You are organised and able to manage a varied workload while maintaining accurate records. You are flexible, proactive, and able to respond effectively to changing resident needs. Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider team. You have an understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing mental ill health and the importance of person-centred services.
Qualifications
Not explicitly stated, but relevant housing or support qualifications would be advantageous.
