About the Role
The post holder will be a key player within the EPR Programme training team delivering high-quality digital training for the Trust's Electronic Patient Record system (Epic) implementation. Working as part of the training team, you will design, develop, deliver, administer, support and continuously improve blended learning solutions for clinical and corporate systems training across the Trust and partner organisations. This role combines training delivery and learning support with administration and helpdesk functions, ensuring learning services, systems and processes meet departmental standards, Learning and Performance Institute (LPI) best practice, and NHS England requirements.

A key focus will be delivering formal and informal learning interventions and performance coaching across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical settings including classrooms, wards, theatres, community sites and other locations throughout the Trust. Training delivery methods include face-to-face learning, facilitated workshops, live online sessions, hybrid delivery, webinars, Technology Enabled Learning (TEL) and workplace-based coaching. Learning content ranges from digital literacy and basic IT skills through to advanced Microsoft applications, Epic functionality and best-practice use of core clinical systems.

You will support the full learning cycle by assisting with analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation and continuous improvement of learning interventions across the IT training portfolio. Contributions to the development and maintenance of training materials, promotion of digital and blended learning approaches, and ensuring staff access appropriate learning pathways tailored to their professional groups are essential.

Alongside training responsibilities, you will play an integral role in delivering the Training administration and help desk service. Working collaboratively with the Training team, operational stakeholders and partner organisations, you will ensure consistent and efficient implementation of training administration processes, supporting equitable access to training services.

You will act as a knowledgeable first point of contact for training-related enquiries, using Halo and other service management systems to log, triage, manage and resolve requests in line with agreed standards and best practice. Supporting optimisation and administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) will be key, ensuring accurate maintenance of training records, learning pathways, user access and reporting requirements.

The role also involves contributing to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOP), communications and service improvements that enhance the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of IT Training services. You will be expected to be knowledgeable in IT/EPR applications and related systems and devices to effectively support learners, managers and stakeholders.

Working closely with colleagues across partner organisations and teams, you will develop innovative ways to support learning, improve processes and drive continuous improvement.

Key strands of the role include:
- Creating and maintaining training materials and cross-organisational communication cascades to promote IT Training approaches, processes, transformation programmes and improvement plans
- Working in partnership with the LMS and Systems Project Manager and Team to optimise LMS use and training tools, ensuring alignment with ITCS and LGT Epic Training Strategy and plans
- Supporting training, service delivery, administration and helpdesk functions, monitoring tasks and quality outputs to ensure consistency and continuous improvement
- Supporting maintenance of Training SOPs for the IT Training Admin team and cross-organisational processes to ensure equitable and efficient training services for LGT and partner organisations
