About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS trusts, providing a wide range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care nationally. The Event Executive will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering a diverse portfolio of external training programmes and events on behalf of the Trust. This includes managing events of varying scale and complexity, from small specialist workshops to large-scale conferences and exhibitions.
The role involves end-to-end event management including logistical coordination, stakeholder liaison, delegate management, supplier coordination, and on-site delivery to ensure high-quality participant experiences. You will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and industry representatives to deliver events on time, within budget, and to agreed standards, supporting the Trust’s reputation for excellence in professional development and healthcare training.
The Events team manages a broad portfolio including one and two-day courses, workshops, masterclasses, conferences, and educational visits for a variety of healthcare markets. The role also involves managing virtual and hybrid events, financial oversight, training material preparation, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.

Experience
Significant experience of organising multiple events simultaneously (minimum 5 years). Proven ability to handle competing demands and high workloads effectively. Experience managing budgets, raising invoices and purchase orders, maintaining accurate financial records, and producing financial reports. Experience managing income-generating events including sponsorship income is essential. Experience working in the NHS is desirable.

Qualifications
