About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS trusts, providing a wide range of hospital and community services across south London and beyond. This exciting role is part of the pioneering Exceed initiative, implemented within the NHS for the first time, aimed at improving the perception and delivery of IT services across both Guy’s and St Thomas’ (GSTT) and King’s College Hospital (KCH).

You will join a small, dynamic team focused on delivering innovative IT solutions to tackle operational challenges. The role involves engaging with clients to understand their challenges, building lasting relationships, and working collaboratively with internal and external teams to develop and implement practical solutions. You will measure and re-baseline Exceed scores monthly to track improvements and ensure ongoing resolution of operational issues.

This semi-autonomous, delivery-focused role combines stakeholder engagement, analytical insight, problem-solving, and operational follow-through. You will gather user needs, develop user stories, support technology delivery, and track performance metrics. Working closely with IT and wider organisational colleagues, you will help maintain visibility of progress and build confidence in digital services, ultimately driving better outcomes for patients and staff.

The role offers a unique development opportunity for a digitally literate communicator with a strong customer focus and a passion for service improvement, playing a key part in enhancing how technology supports day-to-day care and operations.

Requirements

Experience
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at multiple levels, including clinical and managerial staff
- Supporting or coordinating service improvement or digital delivery activities in complex settings
- Capturing and summarising user needs or feedback in a structured way
- Familiarity with the operational context of healthcare or other large, complex organisations

Desirable Experience
- Working with technical or project teams to support delivery outcomes
- Contributing to performance reporting or preparing presentations for senior audiences

About You
You are an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, able to build trust and engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. You have a good understanding of how digital tools can support frontline operations and service improvement. You are organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and work flexibly to meet operational needs. You are comfortable using Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Teams, and CRM systems. You are aware of data protection, confidentiality, and governance principles relevant to healthcare or public sector settings.

Qualifications
Relevant degree-level qualification or equivalent experience is essential.
