About the Role
At ICHI, our work is only as strong as the people behind it. We are seeking a proactive, high-energy External Resourcing Manager to act as the definitive bridge between our studio and the world’s best creative and production talent. This role is not just about booking resources; you will be the face of ICHI to the external market, responsible for curating an elite bench of freelancers, contractors, and partners to ensure the right skills are available the moment a project begins.
You will blend sharp intuition with operational rigour to ensure every external hire is a best-in-class fit for our culture and clients. Working closely with senior leadership, you will shape how we work, taking ownership and bringing a people-first energy to everything you do.
Key responsibilities include talent scouting and curation, maintaining an encyclopaedic knowledge of our external network, strategic matchmaking with producers and creatives, leading fee and contract negotiations, qualifying external partners and suppliers, evolving onboarding and freelance workflows, and collaborating with UK and North American teams to strategically share resources. You will also work closely with the Resourcing Manager to provide seamless coverage of capacity and pipeline within the creative department during high-volume periods and holiday gaps.

Experience
Proven experience in talent management, traffic management, resource management, or high-volume creative recruitment within a medium to large-sized agency. Confidence working with production teams to draft and execute contracts. Experience managing complex data such as availability, rates, and skills with precision. Familiarity with resource management software or CRM tools.

About you
Deep industry knowledge with the ability to distinguish between good and great portfolios and an understanding of creative roles and their associated tools and technologies. Strong compliance awareness, including IR35 and employment legislation, to ensure all freelance engagements are compliant. A proactive mindset that anticipates production bottlenecks rather than just filling seats. Exceptional communication skills—friendly, passionate, persuasive—with the ability to represent ICHI’s values and negotiate firmly but fairly. Strong business intuition to identify partners aligned with company goals while protecting ICHI’s unique selling proposition and competitive edge.
