About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Finance Administrator to join the National Theatre Finance Team. As a finance administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks within the finance department, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately to support monthly and annual reporting as well as tax obligations. Your work will span across the entire operations of the National Theatre, including Box Office sales, donations, outreach programmes, onsite restaurants, and the bookshop.
Key duties include banking cheques and handling cash, ensuring timely recording of income and prompt reimbursement of colleagues, assisting with month-end cash office counts, and managing post by opening, filing, and distributing documents efficiently. You will monitor shared email inboxes, communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries, and provide excellent customer service.
Additional responsibilities involve assisting with colleague expense claims and credit card administration to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and tax regulations, preparing daily bank posting journals, supporting month-end bank reconciliations, processing payments, issuing customer statements, and supporting credit control activities.
Experience
No prior experience required. Enthusiasm for finance and administration is essential.
