About the Role
Are you a part-qualified accountant looking to develop your financial reporting and analysis experience within a purpose-driven organisation? Peabody Trust is seeking a Finance Analyst to join the Group Financial Control team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to gain exposure to financial reporting, statutory accounts, audit support and month-end processes while building on their professional qualifications. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will support the delivery of accurate financial information, maintain strong financial controls, and provide insightful analysis that helps inform decision-making across the business.
Your key responsibilities will include supporting the production of accurate and timely monthly financial reporting, assisting with month-end and year-end close activities, preparing and posting journals including accruals, prepayments and provisions, supporting the preparation of statutory accounts for Group subsidiaries, assisting with audit requests and resolving queries promptly, completing balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining appropriate financial controls, producing reports and analysis to explain key financial movements and variances, supporting statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, and responding to finance queries while providing support to stakeholders across the business.

Experience
- Part-qualified accountant working towards completing professional studies
- Experience working within a finance or accounting environment supporting month-end and/or year-end processes
- Experience preparing journals, reconciliations and financial reports
- Experience supporting audit processes or preparing information for auditors
About you
You are an analytical and detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working with data and building strong relationships with colleagues across the business. You are a strong communicator, able to explain financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences. You have advanced Excel skills and strong Microsoft Office capability.
Qualifications
Part-qualified accountant status with ongoing professional studies.
