About the Role
Are you detail-focused, analytical and looking to build your career in finance? Do you enjoy working with data, improving processes and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting? We’re looking for a Finance Assistant (Capital Accounting) to join our Group Financial Control team, where you’ll play a key part in maintaining the integrity of our fixed asset data and supporting accurate reporting across housing properties and capital investments.

As a Finance Assistant, you’ll support the Group Financial Control team with fixed asset and capital accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Your role will focus on data quality and financial control across housing properties, capital grants and fixed asset registers, helping to maintain complete, accurate and reliable registers.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues across finance in a matrix environment, contributing to a joined-up approach to data, systems and processes. Your responsibilities will include component analysis to post capital spend to the asset register, preparing and posting journals, supporting month-end and year-end activities, and identifying and resolving discrepancies.

Additionally, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, using your analytical mindset to strengthen controls and enhance reporting. If you enjoy working with data, problem-solving and building your finance career in a supportive and collaborative environment, this role is for you.
