We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Financial Analyst with excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, committed to value and patient care. This role supports Finance Managers by producing Management Accounts for Clinical Directorates and assisting Budget Holders. You will also support the wider Financial Management team through the Month End process and ad-hoc projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to advance your finance career while gaining a broad understanding of NHS service management. The role involves generating budget reports, investigating variances, updating budgets, and regularly liaising with budget holders to provide analysis and support in forecasting. Advanced spreadsheet skills and a good working knowledge of accounting systems and principles are essential.

Experience
Substantial experience working in an accounting department with demonstrable experience in a financial management role.
About you
Analytical and detail-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work independently and collaboratively, with a commitment to continuous professional development. Advanced spreadsheet skills to macro level and a good understanding of accounting subsystems and principles are essential. You should be able to prepare budget and actual performance statements and understand costing methodologies.
Qualifications
Educated to at least AAT certificate level, degree level, or equivalent experience. Significant progress towards completing a CCAB qualification is required.
