About the Role
Southwark Council is the largest local authority social landlord in London, managing 55,000 homes and supporting a diverse and growing population. Following the transfer of Leisure Services to full council management in June 2023, this is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of leisure services in Southwark.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fitness Professional to deliver our fitness product to residents, members, and visitors at our centres. You will be part of a motivated, driven, and supportive team committed to excellence and making a real difference in the borough.

Reporting to the Centre Fitness Manager, you will ensure smooth day-to-day gym operations, maintain vigilant supervision of gym users to ensure safety, complete cleaning and maintenance schedules, and report faults immediately. You will conduct 1-2-1 gym appointments, offer training plans including customer screening, fitness assessments, and prescribe lifestyle changes, dietary considerations, and health and fitness development plans. Delivering consistent excellent customer service with a professional, efficient, and cheerful presence is essential.

Experience
Experience working in a customer-facing environment providing the highest levels of customer care. Experience creating fitness programmes for clients or members.

Qualifications
Minimum Level 2 Fitness Qualification. Hold a CIMSPA or REPs accredited Level 3 qualification.
