About the Role
Become a foster carer in Bexley and make a real difference in the lives of local children and young people. As a foster carer, you will provide a safe, nurturing home where children can flourish. You will offer emotional support, guidance, and care while working collaboratively with social workers, educators, and healthcare professionals to follow each child's care plan.
Be part of one of eight local fostering communities designed to reduce isolation and share experiences. Benefit from tailored support and mentorship by being matched with experienced carers who will guide you through day-to-day fostering. There are specialist streams available, including fostering babies, teenagers, parent-and-child placements, or providing emergency care.
Connect with friendly peer support through coffee mornings, forums, and social events to build camaraderie and resilience. You will receive comprehensive ongoing training to enhance your skills and confidence, backed by 24/7 professional support from social workers and out-of-hours assistance. The well-being of carers is a priority, with dedicated efforts to support and value you throughout your fostering journey.
