About the Role

Join Ingeus UK as a Functional Assessor and become part of a welcoming, skilled team. You will receive specialist training through our Learning Academy, including one-to-one coaching, mentoring, and workshops to support you in achieving full DWP accreditation.

Our culture values dignity and respect, ensuring every individual feels comfortable, confident, and recognised for their contributions. You will be equipped with the tools for a smooth transition into your new role, supported by virtual and self-directed CPD. There are also opportunities for career development in roles such as Training Lead, Quality Lead, and Clinical Practice Lead, as well as other clinical and healthcare positions within the wider APM Group.

As a Functional Assessor, your primary responsibilities will include conducting health and disability assessments to understand each person’s unique needs, carrying out Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments for individuals of working age with long-term physical or mental health conditions or disabilities, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for submission to the Department of Work and Pensions, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure high-quality service and continuous improvement of health assessment services in the UK.
