About the Role
Are you passionate about helping others? Do you have clinical experience and want to use your skills in a different way while maintaining your clinical registration? Join Ingeus UK as a Functional Assessor and become part of a welcoming, skilled team supported through specialist training delivered by our Learning Academy. This includes one-to-one coaching, mentoring, and workshops to guide you towards achieving full DWP accreditation.

Our culture values dignity and respect, ensuring every individual feels comfortable, confident, and recognised for their contributions. We provide the tools and support needed for a smooth transition into your new role, including virtual and self-directed CPD. You will also have access to a wide range of development opportunities, such as roles in Training Lead, Quality Lead, and Clinical Practice Lead positions, as well as opportunities across other clinical and healthcare business areas within the wider APM Group.

As a Functional Assessor, your primary responsibilities will include conducting health and disability assessments to understand each person’s unique needs, carrying out Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments for individuals of working age with long-term physical or mental health conditions or disabilities, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for submission to the Department of Work and Pensions, and collaborating with colleagues to provide high-quality service and contribute to continuous improvement of health assessment services in the UK.

About you
Strong critical analysis and logical thinking skills. Proficient in IT tools for documentation and communication. Passionate about helping others and committed to delivering high-quality assessments. We welcome neurodiverse colleagues and provide support throughout the recruitment process.
