About the Role

Do you have 12+ months of UK-based post-registration experience as an NMC registered nurse (RGN, RNLD, RMN) or HCPC registered paramedic, physiotherapist, or occupational therapist? As a Functional Assessor, your primary responsibilities will include conducting health and disability assessments to understand each person’s unique needs, carrying out Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments for individuals of working age with long-term physical or mental health conditions or disabilities, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for submission to the Department of Work and Pensions, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality service and contribute to continuous improvement of health assessment services in the UK.

Experience
At least 12 months post-registration experience gained in the UK as an NMC registered nurse (RGN, RNLD, RMN) or HCPC registered paramedic, physiotherapist, or occupational therapist. Experience treating a wide range of physical and mental health conditions is preferred.

Qualifications
Current clinical registration with NMC or HCPC is essential. Full DWP accreditation will be supported through training and mentoring provided by the employer.
