The Enablement Platforms for Innovation and Change (EPIC) team, part of BlackRock's Technology & Operations division, drives strategy and executes initiatives central to our indexing and firm-wide growth priorities. EPIC focuses on innovation and scale for BlackRock's ETF products, empowering our people through leadership development and career growth.
As part of the multi-year transformation of our ETF platform, EPIC is expanding its expertise to provide oversight and subject matter expertise for Currency hedged products within our ETF and mutual fund ranges.
In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert in currency hedging, supporting teams launching currency hedged products. You will develop a deep operational understanding of currency hedged ETFs and mutual funds and collaborate with internal partners and external parties such as currency managers and fund administrators to deliver effective business solutions. You will ensure product robustness by identifying enhancements and process improvements, working closely with operational and technology teams to implement solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing oversight for the launch and operational management of currency hedged ETFs and mutual funds
- Acting as a bridge between product development, service providers, and internal teams to develop and execute implementation plans
- Collecting and ensuring the integrity of critical data related to products, mandates, regulations, and investment operations in partnership with BlackRock Data Services (BDS)
- Managing the implementation process using Aladdin tools and coordinating approvals across impacted partners
Experience
- Degree qualified
- Validated expertise in asset management, custody, or securities from a regional or global perspective
- Strong knowledge of asset management funds industry and operational workflows including trading, compliance, middle-office, data & analytics, client reporting, or performance attribution
- Knowledge of SQL and Python required; Aladdin knowledge preferred
- Familiarity with FX markets and/or currency hedging preferred
- Basic understanding of fixed income, equity, and derivative instruments
- Experience designing and implementing business process improvements

Qualifications
- Degree qualification is required
- Technical skills including SQL and Python are essential
- Prior experience or knowledge in asset management and currency hedging is highly desirable
