About the Role
The EM SSA Trading desk is seeking a motivated Analyst/Associate level candidate to join a dynamic trading team with diverse responsibilities and strong growth potential. The desk focuses on primary issuance and secondary trading of supranational bonds denominated in emerging market local currencies. Key activities include coordinating with issuers on new deals, pitching to global clients and investors to manage a large bond inventory, and collaborating with other trading teams to hedge a broad portfolio of risks. Products traded include interest rate swaps, cross currency basis swaps, FX, NDFs, and government bonds across Asia, EMEA, and Latam markets. The desk has experienced significant growth and aims to expand into new areas. The ideal candidate is proactive, well-organised, a clear communicator, and able to manage a range of tasks through to completion.

Responsibilities
- Risk management of bond trading positions and associated FX, interest rate, and basis risk
- Support management of new primary issuances including booking, confirmation, settlement, and redemption/maturity processes
- Develop innovative solutions to optimise desk performance and efficiency
- Generate trade ideas and communicate them to sales, clients, and other stakeholders

Experience
Quantitative background with strong working knowledge of interest rate swaps, cross currency basis swaps, NDFs, and FX. Understanding of macroeconomic drivers and Emerging Markets.
