About the Role
GLOBAL BANKING & MARKETS Our core value is building strong relationships with our institutional clients, including corporations, financial service providers, and fund managers. We help them buy and sell financial products on exchanges worldwide, raise funding, and manage risk. This dynamic and entrepreneurial team thrives in fast-paced, changing environments and is energized by a bustling trading floor. At Goldman Sachs, our culture emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and meritocracy, supporting each colleague professionally and personally.
STS trading is part of the Global Exotics and Structured Products trading team, which trades, prices, and risk manages a wide array of non-vanilla (exotic), cross-asset underlying strategies and payoffs. The desk manages sizable principal exposure across multiple markets including Equities, Rates, FX, Commodities, and Credit in both volatility and one-delta space. We collaborate closely with structuring and sales teams globally to create innovative structures, solutions, and strategies, while risk managing positions that cannot be easily hedged.
Key responsibilities include assisting with daily risk management of the Global STS trading book by executing hedges and developing risk management strategies and utilities, pricing derivatives on cross-asset Systematic Trading Strategies (STS), and developing a cross-functional, cross-asset, and cross-regional network within the firm. You will learn to trade a broad and complex set of products, including understanding the models, markets, and operational and legal frameworks necessary to trade. Collaboration with other traders and strats to develop or enhance models and products, as well as working with sales and strats to expand the franchise business, is integral to the role.
