About the Role

Your key responsibilities will include site work such as supervision and management of site investigations, soil logging, environmental sampling, and ground gas monitoring. You will support site investigation design, prepare technical reports including desk studies, site investigation reports, remediation studies, and verification reports. You will ensure all work complies with procedures and the highest safety, health, and environmental standards.

A typical week may involve Phase 1 Desk Study research and reporting, Phase 2 Site Investigation design and supervision, soil sampling, subcontractor management, risk assessment, and reporting. You will communicate with clients and subcontractors and work collaboratively as part of a project team.

The team provides land contamination management services to private and public sector clients across property, government, energy, industrial, and nuclear sectors. You will be supported in your professional growth and play a key role in day-to-day project delivery, working closely with team members, project managers, and directors. Requirements

Experience
- On-site experience of site investigation and similar field works
- Preparation of Phase 1 contaminated land/geo-environmental desk studies
- Planning, designing, and management of site investigations
- Soil logging
- Knowledge of Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations in site investigations
- Understanding of the UK land contamination regime and risk-based assessment approach
- Report writing with clear and concise presentation of information
- Data handling skills; experience with GIS is desirable

Qualifications
Relevant degree in chemistry, biology, geology, engineering, environmental science, or a related discipline.
