About the Role
Are you interested in learning about and supporting origination of structured products across asset classes? Do you want to work in direct partnership with revenue generating desks? Would you like to support a business which is always evolving and where every deal is different with something new to learn? Our team is seeking an experienced professional who is diligent, analytical and able to collaborate with Trading, Structuring, Middle Offices, Controllers, Legal, Engineering and Sales to facilitate and support the origination of Securitized Derivatives. You will contribute across the issuance process, primary and secondary allocations in risk, settlement process, managing the product through to maturity and play a pivotal role in the continued evolution of structured product platforms.

The business continuously expands into new markets and product areas and your expertise will help successfully capitalize on upcoming market opportunities.

Global Markets Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division partnering with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading, and asset management capabilities to clients worldwide. Operations provide essential risk management and control, preserving and enhancing the firm’s assets and reputation. Spanning all product lines and markets, Operations serve as internal business partners who develop processes, controls and help specify systems that deliver accuracy, timeliness and integrity.

The Global Markets Structuring Operations team provides middle office and issuance support to Structured Products businesses across Asia, EMEA and Americas. The team supports structured products including securitized notes, warrants, SPVs and other bespoke structures, working closely with the business across origination, issuance, platform development, portfolio support and product controls. Team members become subject matter experts in various components of structures, markets and flows, managing a variety of tasks and facilitating new business activities.

A key focus is to contribute to origination and structuring discussions regarding operational feasibility and sustainability over the life of each product. The team performs pre-trade feasibility front-to-back analysis, trade execution, issuance readiness and ensures firm readiness for post go-live support. They also provide expertise and guidance on new markets and products, leverage vendor relationships to assess opportunities and drive projects supporting business expansion.

Situated in the European Headquarters in London and adjacent to the front office, the successful candidate will become an operations product and platform manager, focusing on deal execution and supporting the growing Fund and SPV businesses. Responsibilities include day-to-day origination and trading desk support of Structured Products (Equity, Rates and Credit), acting as first line support in London for traders, becoming a key contact for Sales teams and external clients on day-to-day incidents, and managing relationships with risk-taking desks.

You will develop expertise in existing long-term structures and build strong knowledge of structured products including notes, certificates and warrants. You will independently drive and project manage new product ideas across markets and become a subject matter expert in issuance, settlement and lifecycle servicing to support the growing product portfolio. Collaboration with Structuring, Trading, Sales, Operations, Engineering, Controllers and Legal is essential.

You will work with internal and external stakeholders to understand internal systems, regulatory nuances and external market environments to partner on new market and product initiatives. You will also collaborate to drive continuous improvement and strategic initiatives for the business.
