About the Role
The British Museum is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Security to lead and manage all aspects of security operations across the museum. This senior role involves overseeing the safety and protection of the museum’s collections, visitors, staff, and premises. You will develop and implement security policies, coordinate with internal teams and external agencies, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices. This is a key leadership position requiring strategic vision, strong management skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Experience
Proven experience in a senior security management role, preferably within a cultural, heritage, or public institution. Demonstrated ability to lead security teams, manage risk, and implement effective security strategies.

Qualifications
