About the Role
At Croydon College Group, we are seeking an ambitious and experienced Head of Teaching and Learning to lead the strategic development of teaching excellence across our Croydon and Coulsdon campuses. This pivotal leadership role offers the opportunity to influence educational practice, shape professional development, and make a lasting difference to the lives of our learners. You will work closely with curriculum leaders and the Quality team to champion a culture of high expectations, innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring every learner benefits from an exceptional educational experience.

You will lead the strategic development of teaching, learning and assessment across the College, driving a culture of excellence, accountability and learner-centred practice. You will implement and embed the College's Quality Framework, supporting managers to effectively self-assess and deliver sustainable improvement. Additionally, you will design and deliver impactful, evidence-based professional development programmes for teaching and learning support staff, monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning using data and insight to inform improvement strategies, and provide high-quality reports and analysis to the Executive Team highlighting performance, achievements and risks. You will champion innovative and inclusive teaching approaches that improve learner engagement, achievement and progression.

Experience
Successful experience as both a teacher and manager with evidence of delivering strong learner outcomes. Experience of leading quality improvement initiatives and enhancing teaching and learning standards. A strong understanding of current developments in Further Education pedagogy, curriculum design and professional development.

Qualifications
A Level 6 qualification or equivalent. A recognised teaching qualification.
