An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Information Governance and Management team within the Health Records Department. This new, varied, and challenging role involves working in a complex and dynamic environment supporting clinicians, managers, and staff by ensuring high standards of health data quality.

The ideal candidate will have previous NHS experience and scanning expertise. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels are essential. The role requires a self-motivated, proactive individual with strong time management and communication skills.

Main duties include preparation and scanning of health records with first line quality assurance, resolving duplicate registrations on Epic, merging health and dental records, amending overlapping admissions, and liaising with internal teams and external partners such as King’s College health records team and the National Back Office. The role also involves reporting monthly on performance against Key Performance Indicators and adhering to Trust policies and procedures.

Requirements

Experience
- Experience working within an NHS environment
- Experience working in a busy department
- Desirable: Experience within a health records setting, document preparation, scanning documents, resolving duplicate registrations

About you
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to develop working relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels
- Self-motivated and proactive with strong time management skills
- Ability to allocate work to junior staff and check their work
- Knowledge of Data Protection Act 2018 and confidentiality is desirable
- Physical ability to pull/push records trolleys and walk/stand for long periods is desirable

Qualifications
- Good standard of education (e.g. A Levels in Maths & English grade C or above or equivalent)
- Desirable: Certificate of technical competence such as Institute of Health Records and Information Management or equivalent
