About the Role
As a Home Delivery Driver at Sainsbury's, you will be responsible for driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to customers' doorsteps on time and in excellent condition. You will complete checks to ensure the van is organised, clean, roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before setting off. You will drive safely across a variety of locations and conditions, serving customers brilliantly by supporting with any questions, substitutions, and keeping them informed of any delays. When not making deliveries, you will assist across the store as needed. You will build great knowledge about Sainsbury's products, services, and promotions to provide helpful recommendations. Sainsbury’s has enhanced driver safety by installing in-cab AI cameras that monitor driver behaviour to ensure compliance with road laws and promote defensive driving, protecting drivers and other road users.

Requirements

Experience
You must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points. You will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of your interview and a driving assessment upon joining.

Qualifications
You must have the Right to Work eligibility in the UK. No formal qualifications are required, but a full UK/EU driving licence and a positive attitude are essential.
