About the Role
The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is the independent regulator of the private security industry across the UK, operating as an arm’s length body of the Home Office. The SIA’s mission is to protect the public by ensuring private security operatives are fit, properly trained, and qualified. The organisation also manages a voluntary Approved Contractor Scheme to raise standards across the sector.

As an HR Business Partner, you will act as the primary HR contact for designated directorates, building trusted relationships with senior leaders and managers. You will provide tailored HR advice aligned to business needs and contribute to the organisational people strategy.

Your key responsibilities will include managing complex employee relations cases, supporting workforce planning and organisational change initiatives, and promoting talent development and leadership skills. You will champion performance management and staff engagement, contribute to HR policy development, and lead or support HR projects such as wellbeing initiatives, equality, diversity and inclusion programmes, and system improvements.

Day-to-day HR management duties include promoting employee wellbeing, coordinating recruitment and job evaluation, managing employee exit processes, and supporting sickness absence management. You will provide timely and consistent HR advice on a wide range of people management issues, ensuring compliance with employment law and organisational policies.

This role requires a proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent communication skills and the ability to handle ambiguity and make sound judgements. You will be expected to model visibility and commitment to flexible working arrangements that support team collaboration.
