This role is based within the Income, Treasury and Cashiers department, responsible for external customer billing, debt collection, receipt processing, and managing patient monies. As Income Manager, you will lead the credit control team, ensuring effective processes and controls are in place to meet cash collection targets. You will monitor team performance, allocate work, provide leadership, and manage complex customer accounts. You will also contribute to process improvements and support the Finance team’s vision by maintaining strong financial controls, providing advisory services, and promoting staff development.

The role requires managing daily operations, reviewing workloads, resolving operational issues, producing reports, handling queries, conducting staff reviews, and ensuring compliance with VAT accounting. You will also cover for other Team Managers as needed and undertake any other duties as required.

Requirements

Experience
- Considerable experience in a management or supervisory role within sales ledger or credit control.
- Understanding of accounting frameworks and operational procedures supporting income and debtors management.
- Proven experience managing, motivating, and developing teams, including setting objectives, conducting appraisals, and identifying training needs.
- Experience with disciplinary policies.
- Proficient with computer-based sales ledger systems in complex environments.
- Skilled in initiating and managing process changes in a controlled environment.
- Ability to train staff and implement process improvements.

Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience.
- NVQ Level 5, AAT Certificate level, professional accountancy qualifications, or CICM Diploma level or equivalent.
- Advanced ECDL qualification or equivalent.
- Competent with Microsoft Office products, able to create complex spreadsheets and documents, and suggest process improvements.
