Leadership and Management To assist operations teams in supporting bed-flow and board-rounds To learn and shadow clinical leaders and gain an understanding of their job roles and what challenges they face Liaise with operational managers on a regular basis (including weekly 1-1s) to bring about strategic alignment between managers and clinicians at all levels Improvement To assist with audit data collection and clinical outcome reporting To bring about an improvement culture to the department and ward To take ownership for improvement in all areas of the ward, in particular patient flow. Summary of Main Opportunities Excellent Clinical Experience due to acuity and diversity of the Newham Population To gain experience in all of the sub-specialties of Geriatric Medicine including: Surgical Liaison, Stroke Care, Falls Services, Continent Services, a Memory Clinic, and Psychogeriatric Liaison as well as gaining wide experience of General Internal Medicine. Dedicated time for Official Training in IQ Process Support to work with leads in quality improvement Scope to innovate and actively improve the service you work in Chance to work with and learn from clinical and managerial leaders To be central in helping improve care provided by the department and hospital Flexible to be able to assist you in your training needs
