About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Key Stage 2 Teacher to join the team at Lift Beacon. This is a key role within the school, supporting pupils in their final years of primary education and preparing them for a successful transition to secondary school.
Lift Beacon is a thriving primary academy in Loughborough, serving children aged 2-11. The school was graded 'Good' in all areas by Ofsted in 2021 and has continued to go from strength to strength. As an IQM (Inclusion Quality Mark) Centre of Excellence, the school is deeply committed to inclusive practice and ensuring every child feels supported to succeed. At Lift Beacon, every pupil deserves an excellent education every day, underpinned by high expectations, a broad and enriching curriculum and a strong focus on personal development.
In January 2024, the school welcomed an ambitious Principal, Mr Ben Kilgannon, who lives locally and is passionate about the school, its staff and the community it serves. As a hands-on leader, he is committed to building a collaborative culture and developing staff so that every pupil can reach their full potential.
Key Stage 2 is an important and rewarding phase in our pupils' education as they prepare for the transition to secondary school. As a KS2 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring pupils leave primary school confident, well-prepared and proud of their achievements.
You will deliver high-quality teaching that secures strong outcomes for pupils, particularly in reading, writing and mathematics, while maintaining a broad and engaging curriculum. You will work closely with colleagues and senior leaders to support pupils both academically and personally during this important stage.
This role would suit an experienced teacher who is confident teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly Upper KS2, and who has a strong understanding of preparing pupils for statutory assessments and transition to secondary education.
We will review applications and interview as soon as possible, so early applications are encouraged.
