About the Role
A rare opportunity to join Lift Schools as a Regional English Lead focusing on the South West. Reporting to Karl Sampson, Regional Executive Director for the South West, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership and subject teams to raise standards and improve English across the South West secondary schools. Your role will involve analysing performance data to target student support effectively and ensuring consistent, high-quality subject delivery throughout the Trust.
You will be jointly accountable for subject performance improvement, attainment, and progress in English. Responsibilities include planning, delivering, and teaching high-quality lessons, as well as leading intervention programmes that challenge and support subject teams to meet ambitious outcome targets.

Experience
Qualified teacher of English with recent CPD relevant to the subject area. Proven experience in subject leadership, including curriculum development, with a sustained record of improvement in English. Skilled in utilising and analysing a broad range of data to inform teaching and interventions.

Qualifications
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English or equivalent. Evidence of recent continuing professional development in English subject leadership and curriculum development.
