About the Role
An exciting full time Leisure Centre Deputy Manager role on a permanent basis within a friendly gym environment. Leon Leisure Centre is located onsite at Lift Sir Herbert Leon, a secondary school named 'Secondary School of the Year' at the Milton Keynes Education Awards 2025. The centre boasts top-tier fitness activities and sports facilities including a 25m swimming pool, multi-purpose sports hall, 3G Astro-turf, and grass pitches – everything you need to stay active, fit, and healthy!
As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the leisure centre, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and high-quality experience for all users. You will lead and support leisure centre staff to deliver exceptional customer service, ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and leisure industry standards, and promote a diverse programme of sports and leisure activities. You will act as a keyholder, providing building security and emergency call-out support, and handle customer enquiries and feedback professionally and proactively.
Experience
A confident, reliable leader ideally with experience in a leisure or customer service environment.

Qualifications
Ideally a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification holder with strong knowledge of poolside safety and operations. Candidates with relevant leisure experience but without the qualification may be considered if willing to obtain it.
