About the Role
This classroom-based Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme is delivered across one of Lift Schools' 57 schools. You will gain a PGCE (Post-Graduate Certificate of Education) and your Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) while working hands-on in the classroom as an unqualified teacher. Supported by a tutor and in-school coach, you will progressively build your independent teaching skills throughout the year.

The programme offers training in subjects including Maths, English, Science, MFL (French/Spanish), and Geography.

The Programme Includes:
1. Summer school: Two weeks of intensive preparation in August to provide a strong foundation in educational theory and practice.
2. Personalised support: Ongoing advice and guidance from your tutor and in-school coach.
3. Weekly training sessions: Regular sessions throughout the training year to enhance classroom skills.
4. National support network: Access to a network of trainees and recent graduates across the trust for support during and beyond your training.
5. Commitment to equal opportunity: A supportive environment promoting diversity and ensuring all trainees can reach their full potential.

The training is school-based, with half a day each week dedicated to sessions with your Ark tutor and fellow trainees from the network.
