About the Role
We are offering a 24-month Fixed Term/Secondment opportunity to join Hackney Borough Council as a Licensing Team Manager. Hackney is a diverse and vibrant borough where 89 languages are spoken and one in three households rents privately. The Council is committed to improving housing standards through new powers and expanded licensing schemes to ensure private rented properties are safe, well managed, and properly licensed.

As Licensing Team Manager, you will lead a key area of the Property Licensing Service, managing staff and overseeing operational delivery to ensure consistent application of regulatory requirements across the borough. Working closely with the Senior Management Team, you will help shape service priorities, improve systems, and deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service that positively impacts residents' lives.

Experience
Significant experience in property licensing and team management is essential. Experience with enforcement actions, tribunal processes, appeals, and using Metastreet software is desirable.

Qualifications
