About the Role
As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in Respiratory Specialty Care at GSK, you will play a pivotal non-promotional, field-based role connecting GSK to the healthcare and research community. You will engage in scientific exchange with healthcare providers and external experts to share in-depth knowledge of GSK data within the context of holistic patient care. This supports evidence-based understanding of the science behind GSK medicines and helps gather insights on products, services, and medical and scientific information to better understand patient needs and evidence gaps.

The role focuses on accelerating clinical research and supporting the successful delivery of respiratory clinical studies at trial sites across the UK. You will partner closely with investigators, research teams, and internal stakeholders to facilitate study start-up, recruitment, and scientific engagement activities to accelerate availability of novel treatments addressing unmet medical needs.

Key responsibilities include engaging in peer-to-peer scientific exchange with respiratory healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, investigators, and research site personnel in accordance with GSK Code of Practice and local regulations; supporting respiratory clinical studies by developing scientific relationships with investigators and trial sites; partnering with Clinical Operations and cross-functional medical teams to support clinical trial delivery, evidence generation, and study acceleration objectives; providing scientific education on disease areas, pipeline assets, and ongoing clinical development programmes; capturing, analysing, and communicating actionable medical insights from the field to inform evidence generation strategies and patient-focused initiatives; and maintaining expert knowledge of respiratory disease, clinical research methodologies, evolving standards of care, and the external scientific landscape.

GSK offers a competitive salary, annual bonus, healthcare and wellbeing programmes, pension plan membership, and shares and savings programme. We foster a culture ambitious for patients, accountable for impact, and committed to doing the right thing, focusing efforts on accelerating significant assets that meet patients' needs and have the highest probability of success.
