About the Role
As an expert practitioner within Gender Identity Care, you will demonstrate advanced communication and nursing skills, applying expert knowledge and decision-making in assessment and follow-up care. You will provide visible clinical leadership and develop support mechanisms to share good practice across the service. Flexibility is essential as you will provide cover across clinical areas within your competence. Working strategically and operationally within the Directorate team, you will ensure clinical policies, procedures, guidelines, and educational programmes meet the Directorate’s needs. You will act as a resource, offering accurate information, advice, and support in education and innovation. You will also be aware of and adhere to the Trust’s safeguarding policies and procedures, enabling others to raise concerns and collaborating with the safeguarding team to maintain patient safety and wellbeing.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience as a nurse practitioner with advanced clinical skills, particularly within Gender Identity Care or related fields. Experience in clinical leadership and working within multidisciplinary teams is essential.

About you
Professional, compassionate, and flexible with excellent communication and decision-making skills. You should be able to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating leadership and a commitment to high-quality patient care. Awareness and understanding of safeguarding responsibilities are required.

Qualifications
Registered Nurse with relevant advanced practice qualifications. Specialist training or experience in Gender Identity Care is highly desirable. Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
