About the Role
Are you looking to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families? Do you enjoy making improvements to the way things are done? Are you a team player who can motivate those you work with? Greenwich Children’s Services is an exciting place to work, ambitious for our children and families. We put children, young people and families at the centre of everything we do and pride ourselves on delivering effective, values-driven services relentlessly focused on continuous improvement.

As a member of the Projects and Partnership Service within the Quality Improvement Division, you will help shape and deliver our new Quality Improvement Framework and manage a portfolio of projects aimed at improving the lives of children, young people and families.

In this role, you will sit within one of our Innovation and Improvement teams, leading the implementation of social care reforms for young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) alongside our Inclusion, Learning and Achievement division and external change partners.

The role has a strong focus on developing effective partnership governance across education, health services, social care, and parents/carers to drive continuous improvement for children with SEND.

Recent projects delivered by the Projects and Partnership Service include:
- Opening a new children’s home for adolescent young people
- A dedicated mentoring programme for children in our care and care leavers
- Developing an in-house participation service that ensures insight from children, young people and families informs strategic decision making.

Sitting at the heart of the Children’s Services Directorate, you will be part of a team responsible for enabling, introducing, and sustaining continuous improvement activities alongside delivering bespoke innovation and improvement projects that support effective and efficient service delivery.

We are looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, is comfortable working with senior leaders, and can challenge conventional ways of working while motivating and leading multi-disciplinary project teams to bring lasting positive change.

You have excellent communication and organisational skills and are committed to improving outcomes for children, young people and families.
